Door to my CD/DVD on my Lenovo desktop won't open. What's wrong?

Sticky mechanism, quite possibly. The grease does gum up and go hard over the years.

If it's a tray loading drive, you should see a small hole on the front that you can stick a paper clip into to open the drawer. This should work as a temporary fix, at least.
