Yo, the solution is simple. Take out the Chromebook's battery and put it back in. That factory resets the device. After you do that, you should be able to connect to any Wi-Fi connection and use your personal home account.

This is getting out of hand with these school districts. They put these programs onto our systems to try and prevent us from not paying attention in class, but the downside is that it blocks the sites that are useful resources to us students and the CKAuthenticator blocks them. Getting research papers done just became 100x harder

nothing works lol vpns are either blocked, cost money, or are downloadable as .exe files which my chromebook can't run. Also, no google play store. no task manager(they blocked the "end task" button), no deleting the extention or turning off notifications, no changing or deleting the proxy, no way to make another user account for the computer(it just defaults back to the original account), and no way to switch to/create another google account.

You guys should look up the CIPA laws and understand the liability risks for a govt entity providing internet to minors. Also check into your district Acceptable Use Agreement for Technology and see what violates the agreement. If you try to violate the agreement, there could be serious consequences including expulsion and even criminal charges.

Listen. This is old, and as of yet, I have found no way to circumvent the blocking systems. I know it is hard to "just deal with it" as SOME users have suggested in some not nice manners, but they are right. Until we find a way to safely get around this because it blocks many educational sites from us, we have no way to do anything against it. My chromebook doesn't even support incognito mode, let alone DEV MODE. Hell, if I could do that I would have done it already! Also apparently my school is using this… "blocking system"… To spy on us and block literally any websites we go onto that have so much as a .org or a .net trailing it. Children Internet Protection Act is just an excuse at this point for my school to block everything and spy on us through our chromebooks. I wish you all the best with your searches though, and hope your districts and schools aren't as ludicrously strict as mine is.

so far, my solutions are as follows; force stop. This usually gets you a minute or two before it re-activates, but if you stay determined and continue to force stop every single time it turns back on, it will eventually give up (but will return if you sign out/power down/restart) end task. This is like the force stop, but it just lasts for much longer. At home. Loading websites before you get to school, for example a flash game using your home wifi will still work so long as you don't reload the page. disable link defaults. Mine was set to "always ask" (which would automatically be accepted by the administrator) but I just switched it to "don't open" and it stopped blocking some links, not exactly a full get-rid-of method but eh. finding alternatives. Spotify was blocked so I just started using yt music, which luckily the school wifi has blocked ads. using non-school accounts. This mostly just gets you small things like being able to change the google background or see "restricted" videos on yt. factory reset. Haven't personally tried myself, but I've heard it can work, so why not amirite? that's about it for now… At least what I can think of that's worked for me?

If you'd like to try and get around this, I would suggest the factory reset with forced shutdown, but that requires a lot of work. I'm currently in the process of figuring out a simpler way- I'll keep you updated with my findings

I admin these devices/ck… It provides federal and state level compliance with privacy protection as well as some levels of malware protection. Pretty much all of the "work arounds" I read about in here are tracked - either in CK or in Google, or in your network infrastructure. So while it may let you go to a site I can assure you that if it needs to be investigated then it will be found out.

command shift space, type type "terminal" and enter, then type" sudo nano /ect/hosts and enter your school password (if it asks for a admin/root password, type in the same one again. Then hit down arrow till you're on an open line and type "127.0.0.1" i think that should be it and then figure it out to save and close the terminal. Lastly don't ever give ur computer to the IT guy, because i did and they locked me out of using literally any command in the terminal. If you want to know how it works keep reading. Your computer was set up to revive information from your school servers, so by disconnecting it from those it won't read anything from them, and by typing the other IP in, it makes your computer act like its own server. So you can still do whatever, but you won't get any updates and auto update won't work and anything that's normally connected to the school won't either fyi.

Jailbreak your chromebook, but I wouldn't recommend doing it because doing so could possibly break the chromebook and you would not want to break a chromebook that is owner by the school, if you are lucky enough when jailbreaking your chromebook it will not break, but it is not a good risk to take.

It is impossible to get around the admin block because in order to do that, you would have to remove the administrator from your Chromebook, which is impossible. The Chromebook was built-in with the school admin in it, and there is no workaround or way to bypass it. My school district has blocked things, and all methods that I have tried have failed. These Chromebooks that were built for school are virtually impossible to penetrate. If you really need to bypass it, contact your administrator, IT, or if there is truly no other way, use another device(phone, tablet, TV, PC, etc.)

If you sign out of your chromebook go down to apps click collegeboard then click sign in as student then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the youtube symbol, then click the sign in and click terms, then click the 9 squares and it will bring you to unblocked google, then you can type in discord or use sites like now gg without them being blocked, my school has an ip barrier around it so it only works at home.

i will help you disable ck auth first you will need to powerwash the chromebook you will need to log out then hold these keys [Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r] . Then log back in and switch off the internet immediately you will fill up the chromebooks storage to the point where it cant install extensions

The school would have to implement a file manager to block it, but that's to far for blocking. We have a minecraft knockoff, 1v1.lol, cookie clicker by use of an outside hosted zip file, and a couple small others like dinosaur game. Once again… We download the javascript from inspect element, add it to a text file, change the file to a .html (ALL ON A PERSONAL COMPUTER), and then transfer it to drive, share and download it, and run it on school computer

I have been learning hacking to get around this application and the only way is to use a bad usb from Hak5 or the malduino usb and plug it into the school IT computer. Some things are unblocked more than other schools. But another way I'm going to try is to put an application on a usb and plug it in downloading the installed application.

factory reset, but it will ask u for a form of recovery key, I'm on surface pro so I got a bitlocker key, then when it asks u for an account upon the reset, find either local user, or a fake email to send u to an error code which will allow you to skip it, do not put in school account, that will put blocker back on, this has wokred for like everyone at my school. Still blocks on school wifi but at home its fine, so just download vpn at home and then even at school they cant stop u, done this about 100 times as well as lik everyone else at my school

hello. in terms of chromebook, the chromebook is managed by what is known as an enterprise policy. this policy gives your administrators ctrl of the chromebook in question. what they will do is make whats called, a forceallowlist. this allows administrators to do the following things, 1. Install, update and remove extensions without your consent or permission. As well as allow extensions. 2. Ctrl witch extensions you install. as sutch, the applications you are wanting to remove in question cannot be done without your administrator knowing. the best way you're gonna remove anything is by putting your chromebook in developer mode, witch wipes the chromebook. However, if you're admin has disabled that, you cant do that. Proxies also do not work because your chromebook has a proxy enforcement on it. It also has a CA certificate so it can identify all websites and applications you install at all times. therefore, it is not possible to find a way out unless you somehow managed to wipe the data. the cache feature also does not work as well. Wile you may get to, say, discord from it, you cannot login without going to the actual page

hey guys my last lenovo was free i could go anywhere like my ckmobile was still on yet i could go everywhere. And i haven't been able to repreclate it. I did it on my home interent by jumping to my hotspot and then either turning off my bluetooth(i connect bluetooth so i can connect to my personal hotspot idk why or it won't work) or my hotspot as i got back on my internet and then i apperently broke my restrictions on my internet and ckmobile. I've tried so many times and it still won't happen. Some side information when we got our new laptops ( yes i no longer have my old one lucky if you get 2566 or 2556 forgot which one) microsoft store was unlocked so i could download anything now i just need to break ckmobile so i can use the downlods if not then ill just wait until it magiclly breaks again might have to do with a frame prefect thing my ckmobile updated every 3 seconds so maybe between the 3 seconds it will work but till then ple find something. I know bypassing content keeper is against the rules but for me it doesn't have social media blocked. I can go on facebook. But what I can't go on is art gallery sites, or PE infomation sites, or a children's book list website, or anything like that that contains incredibly useful infomation for my subjects. as a whitehat hacker from my school, i can confirm that in terms of yt videos, it usually does not block those. Thats on the administrator end, for gogle workspace policies. Also, lemmy eexplain. This will sound techincal to most of you. 1. The enterprise policy. The enterprise policy allows extensions, sutch as CK express, to be installed. 2. CA certificates. Certificate authorities, for example the CK extension, will be installed on student devices to insure that it can detect pages whenever it wants. 3. Proxies. To insure your device goes through the contentkeeper network, your device will go through a proxy, insuring that the device cannot go outside the network. Think of a proxy as a vpn of sourts. Cachingalso does not work. Also, the admin can block that by simply going to the block portal and blocking webcache. Googleusercontent. Com. i know this, i've been trained on these things and have been working with them for years now. I have bypassed my schools filter multiple times, and i can tell you that contentkeeper has a lot of unpatched holes. As for developer mode, most admins will block that using the enterprise policy, so that might not work.
