Why does Windows 8.1 hangs up so badly?

I have genuine Windows 8.1 pre-installed on my new Lenovo G500s laptop. I always keep it updated but I still don't understand why it hangs up so badly everytime.

Its so unrelaible… Takes 5minutes to bootup, 5 minutes to shutdown, when you click on some folder it takes 2 mins to open, u click on close button… It'll say not responding… And will close after 2mins.

Did microsoft delibertately included this super-delay, super-lag, feature as *new feature*.

My desktop which runs on XP boots up in 17secs… Shuts down in 10sec… Is far much faster than 8.

I did registry cleanup, I did disk-cleanup… Is there anything I can do to make it run faster?

Delete all unnecessary startup processes, more than 30 will make the computer crawl, I have seen one with 123 processes out of the box all useless services, like remote desktop remote registry and update processes that run 24/7 for a maybe monthly update but polls the website every 5 minutes plus junk
