11.6 Lenovo (AccuType) Laptop Enough For University Work?

I have a 10.5" laptop that I detest. I have my heart set on the Lenovo Yoga series, but they are quite pricey. Unless the 13 goes on sale in the outlet, I'm stuck with the cheapest one- which is an 11.6" screen.

I'm a compulsive multitasker, so splitting the screen is crucial. Would 11.6" be enough?

Does the Lenovo AccuType actually help with such a small keyboard while writing long papers?

I would think the horizontal split would be alright giving you about 5 inches above and below depending how you set it, you can drag the line. I don't know if Word etc can be reduced in size a little like WordPad can. But you could try a usb keyboard as these being full size make typing comfortable. And it may rest on top of the laptop keyboard.
