Adobe Premiere Pro CC is slow on Lenovo Y-50 70 Laptop?

When I boot Adobe premiere pro cc on the laptop, it is very slow and the playback is also very slow in which i have to set it to 1/4 for playback and for paused quality. There's a lot of lag even then when play the video from start to finish.

What is the issue?

Added (1). I also run the software on the high-performance NVIDIA processor

Have all your updates and drivers been made completely up to date - a 4 cell battery is a bit feeble - see if there's a 9 cell

Yeah, try to check drivers. More than likely its just running slow because of your hardware, yes that hardware is good for a laptop but in comparison to a high end desktop its nothing and that gpu is fairly weak
