For basic use; music, YouTube, documents, some games, but nothing too serious. I'm looking at a Lenovo 110 15isk and an Acer ES 572. Is one any better or more reliable than the other?

Lenovo is far more reliable than Acer. In my opinion, the cheaper Acer models are super cheap and don't last as long, and sacrifice performance and quality for a lower price.
