Can an ordinary mid-range laptop be good enough to make YouTube type videos? (Lenovo)?
Can an ordinary mid-range laptop be good enough to make YouTube type videos? (Lenovo)?
It'll probably do it, as I could do it no probs on my previous desktop PC I used from 2009 to 2017, which was probably about the same speed or slightly slower than a current mid-range laptop likely is…
- Intel Dual Core E5300 processor (2.6GHz, occasionally overclocked to 2.7GHz)
- 2GB of DDR2 RAM (upgraded to 4GB of RAM during last couple of years of it's life)
- Windows7 loaded on a WD 7200rpm hard drive
- Asus GeForce GT9400 Graphics Card (upgraded to Asus GeForce GT730 2GB GDDR5 graphics card in final few months).
Would take around 90mins or more to render a 600MB to 3.2GB clip into AVCHD 1080p50 on Corel VideoStudio X5.
My current desktop (budget gaming jobbie) can do it in around 30minutes or less with:
- AMD A8-7600 3.5GHz Quad Core processor with onboard graphics (Radeon R7)
- 8GB of Corsair DDR3-2133 RAM
- Windows10
- Asus GeForce GT730 GDDR5 Graphics card (carried over from previous PC)
