Can laptops be good for gaming?

I want to get a laptop and I'll be using it for primarily gaming. Are there any good gaming laptops out there? I have a desktop already but I want something portable. Is it worth

I'd say pretty much any Asus computer listed under their "Gaming Laptops" category. Asus has its line of Gaming Supported, which has the bare minimum to play games in HD or High Graphic settings while looking like a normal Laptop (with the exception of back lighting on the keyboard, which can be turned down/off).

Asus is also home to the lesser known but equally excellent Realm Of Gaming line. This line tends to have specs on par with or rivaling Alienware or Razer, which are the leading producers of Gaming Computers/Laptops. More expensive than the Gaming Supported line, but some units are cheaper than Alienware or Razer units.
