Lenovo Thinkpad T510
This is an extremely annoying problem, i've used different cards, i've checked for different drivers but i think the only thing that fixes it once is to restart or log off and on again. Also i think this is the same for usb as well
Computer only lets me use sd card once each time i log on and i don know why?

Check the power settings on these two devices, the SD card reader and the USB hub. Right click MY COmputers --> Properties. In device manager select the SD card reader device, Power management settings, and uncheck "allow the computer to turn off power to this device to save power"
Or download the latest power management software from Lenovo.
It is possible your PC's power management features are not working OK.
