Do I need to install Intel rapid storage technology on this PC?

I have formatted my hard drive and installed windows 8.1, my laptop is (Lenovo z5070 i5 ) it come with a DVD which has windows 8.1 drivers x64 bit
I found intel rapid storage technology driver and when I searched the web some people say that it's not nessecary to install it since most of new PCs can deal with SATA and RAID something like that. Excuse me I don't have enough information aboout Hard drives.
so what should I do, should i install it or I don't need to?!

Laptops in the USA, and in many other countries, already have Windows pre-loaded and applications set up appropriate to the system.

Intel Rapid Storage technology is for multiple HDD systems to act in RAID format, hybrid HDDs with a solid state and disk storage in one unit, and possibly using a separate HDD and SSD together.

As you did not provide an exact Lenovo model number, which still uses the old IBM machine type/model, the exact specifications of your laptop can't be searched for on the internet.
What types of storage are in your laptop?
HDDs and SSD types?
There are some advantages in single drives as well.

You can install and see if your PC seems to access storage faster overall.
I'm fairly certain it can't hurt, and you can always uninstall it.
