Good laptop for game development and gaming that doesn't break the bank too hard?

I'm looking for a laptop atm that cañ play games and that I can do game development on. I have a mid ranged desktop already and want a laptop for development and gaming on the go. I know that cheaper laptops tend to be good in certain areas and worse in others so let me tell you the main specs I'm looking for.
1) good CPU and GPU
2) good amount of space,1tb is good for me
3) good framerates

Battery power I don't care about since I can just get one of those portable charger things they have now.
Heat, I'm sure they all get pretty hot but less hot would be better. Ill get a cooler tho.

I'm thinking about the lenovo y50 becausel the specs are good and its cheap.
Budget is around $1000 give or take.

Hopefully someone can answer this also, there's different model number code thingies for the y50 and something called 4k. Any idea what those are?

Lenovo Y50 has one flaw. The 1080p panel comes from two sources, and one is less than average and the other is much less than average. On the internet can be found forums, discussions, and youtube about buying a replacement IPS Panel with the proper connector in back and how to replace it for about $100.

The 4k high resolution panel also has 2 flaws. Text gets very small and sometimes can't be made bigger easily. The display is locked at 47Hz, so gamers with older games that could go very quick are topped out at 47fps.

The Y50 1080p with 2GB Graphics ram is $1000 at Newegg with sales tax in California, NJ, TN

Asus is $1100 with 16GB RAM

I don't trust Acer, but they do use an IPS Panel

Since Acer does not manufacture anything, and Lenovo contracts out all Ideapad production, all three may be Asus. Who knows?

The GTX 860M is particular cool in temp and does not overheat like prior NVidia and AMD.
