How to make my laptop boot of my SSD without moving personal files and programs?

I have a Lenovo Y510P and 24 GB SSD
All I want is my laptop to boot on SSD to make it boot faster without moving other programs and files because the SSD won't take it. Any ideas?

I assume the 24GB is a typo and you mean 240GB. The programs need a clean install on to the boot drive (the C drive)
The alternative is to clone the old hard drive to the new, this assumes the old hard drive partition is no larger than the SSD, so you may have to copy off some data to allow you to shrink the partition to match
