Okay so I'm trying to Launch Start Up Repair on my Lenovo ThinkPad T460s. The only way I know how to get into it is force shut off the computer while its booting up. Every time I run the start up repair option, the screen goes back and just returns back to the same previous page. Why won't the Start up repair run?
I have a question regarding a laptop?
There may be a hardware defect or something in the registry it can't repair.
If needed, on a working computer you can make a windows 8/10 recovery USB which you can boot off and that may work using windows media creation tool.
You're not telling me what operating system that you're running I'm assuming that you're running Windows 7 because you say it has a startup repair so the easiest way to deal with that problem is going to the control panel click on where it says backup and restore in the upper left-hand Corner you'll see where it says make a system image and make a repair disk make yourself a repair disk on a CD not a DVD then boot to the repair disk with the F12 feature or whatever happens to be your boot menu you will be given the option to run startup repair from the boot disk when nothing else works the recovery disk will help you
