I'm looking to spend an absolute maximum of $1000 on a new laptop. It needs to have good Wi-Fi connectivity, at least 8gb og memory, run at least i5, and have at least 500 gb of hardrive. If it can fold it would be a big bonus, as well as touchscreen capabilities. The Lenovo edge 2 fits this profile, but has terrible Wi-Fi connectivity and I hate it with a burning passion.

I would recommend an 11 inch or 13 inch MacBook Pro. Yeah it doesn't have touchscreen, but you won't need it. You can get it with 8 GB of RAM and 500 Gigs of Space. It might be expensive, but it will last very long and serve you very well.
