Is my graphics card (integrated) better or up to par with an ATI Radeon x1300 card?

Ok so, I'm not very savvy with graphics cards and such but I'm learning. Heh.

So I'm running on this kind of laptop here>> http://www.notebookcheck.net/...432.0.html

It's a Lenovo Ideapad N586. It has an AMD A6-4400M APU with AMD Radeon™ HD 7520G integrated graphics card in it.

I'm trying to learn how to distinguish which graphic cards are better than others so I know what games can run on my specs. I have my eyes currently on Goat Simulator so I checked it's minimum spec requirements and it says that the minimum graphic card it needs is an ATI Radeon x1300. I've been reading up on how graphic cards work with their numbers to tell which ones are better but apparently that only work on cards of the same kind.

So ye, 2 questions here i suppose. Is my graphics card able to to match up to that? And also, how can you tell which card is better than the other when they are two different card types/brands?

Your integrated graphics card is way better then the x1300. The x1300 can barely handle what would be considered HD, and your integrated can handle HD natively. When comparing graphics cards from different companies you are really just comparing between NVIDIA and ATI. Since most companies out there will be utilizing the chips from either company. Look at the RAM they possess and the type of chip they utilize, also the clock speeds are important. The AMD HD 7000 series utilizes a 28nm type chip and the x1300 uses a 90nm. In this case lower is better. When comparing between NVIDIA and ATI(AMD) you also have to consider the driver support. NVIDIA is way more superior then AMD on driver support especially for Linux, Nvidia still updates Legacy Drivers(Older Cards) and good luck with ATI supporting newer OS's with older cards. However ATI has better OpenCL support if you are planning on Bitcoin mining. All in all it depends on what operating system you use, how much power you want to supply, and how much money you want to spend.

Yes you are way above minimum. And ranking by performance is quite popular way (it would be meaningless otherwise) I go by the chart in Tom's Hardware if the Series/Indicator numbers are too close for me to call by myself.

7520G destroys the x1300 lol
integrated graphics have come a long way. Its possible to play games using integrated graphics now (it will be on lower settings/resolutions, but can easily play at good fps).

upgrade your laptop to have 8GB of ram in dual channel (2 matching sticks) and you will maximize your integrated gpu performance.

You should be able to run it at the very minimum…
as a general rule All integrated GPUs struggle on 3D games, the best integrated GPUs finally can play all 2d games…
