Is my laptop good for gaming?

Dual core is not good enough for gaming, RAM doesn't speed up a computer, it only gives more space to run from a Randomly Accessed Memory rather then from an old spinning hard disk!

1TB Memory You really mean 1 TB storage space hard disk(memory refers to speed) it's just storage space, the size of the disk doesn't speed up the computer either.

You may find the following limitations:
- 1TB HDD is okay for space, but if it's 5400rpm like most laptops, you might find it struggles occasionally.
- RAM is fine. More RAM can speed up a computer if it means more of a program can be stored in memory rather than written to disk. Having said that, 8GB should be enough for most things.
- CPU It's more important to know which CPU you have. Number of cores doesn't always make much of a difference unless the application supports it. Many games work better on a powerful dual core than a multi core.
The main problem I see is that you don't identify the GPU. If you have integrated graphics, gaming will be severely limited. A decent discrete GPU with 1GB would help things along nicely.
