No. It's a low end budget laptop.

New models release every 6 months. The G470 was released about March 2011. The G series, to those on the inside, means Generic. It was a competing line to Acer, Dell Inspiron, HP Pavilion that all went OEM relabeling of China OEM produced, that is even more common today across product lines where almost all laptops are Generic now. The support level at Lenovo was premium for Thinkpad, standard for Ideapad, and minimal for G series. It was termed to the public as Lenovo Essentials.
They still have G series in India

In the USA, they merged into Ideapad 100 and 300 series.
Lenovo still shows driver support for the G470.
It is about 5 years old now. That is better than average if still in working order as most people are replacing laptops every few years.
