I have a Lenovo T500 running like a dream. It's running 7 Premium 64 Intel Core2 processors p8600 2.4ghz. On top of that it's running 4 Gig of Memory and I have absolutely no problems with it, it's like a well serviced Porsche. It's genuine and if I ever have a problem at the press pf a button the whole thing reformats itself wiping out any baddies.
It's all licensed no problems and does what I want it to do. I have two main questions really should I upgrade to Ultimate just because I can will it make any difference as far as I can see there isn't much difference between the two, other than say network support and bitlocker.
My second question is would this effect my ability to press a button and restore every as I'm able to do now?
I'm using a disc that has to be inserted at the boot, that then gives me options to install. One screen pops up asking which drive I want to install on and warn me that all existing data will be saved but I won't be able to access it. The drive on my laptop is split a small partition for the system restore and the main hard drive. Can I get away with installing Ultimate of this laptop and keep the ability to restore if I need to or will I have to Sacrifice that ability?
Is there any real benifit to upgrading from Windows 7 Premium to Ultimate?

Personally for the average home user its not worth the expense. To go back to windows 7 premium you would have to to do a factory recovery on your laptop

Thanks. I was swaying that way as it was. Will leave it as it is. There's an old saying if it's not broken don't fix it. Think I will follow that ethos. Cheers:-)
