Skyrim Specs: (Video Graphics is where most machines fail the test)
You Do need a machine that meets these requirements for Skyrim.
Recommended
-Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
-Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU processor
-4GB System RAM
-6GB free HDD (Hard disk drive) space
-DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon HD 4890 or higher
-DirectX compatible sound card
-Internet access for Steam activation

Get 12GB RAM+, mother board from asus, good graphics card from maybe gigybite or whatever, amd or icore processor, like a 2TB hard drive, good cpu fan, and power supply. These aren't everything i believe, but a good website to buy PC parts is Newegg.com or go to a microcenter

To start off, laptops for gaming other than like DoTA or TF2 is sort f frowned upon because of how hot they get and could cause potential damage to your jeans, desk or even the components. If you think you could cool it adequetly, go for it. Good amount of ram, the GDDR memory is good so it can handle lots of particle effects and so on which you need for high graphics settings. Haswell is a pretty god CPUbut I'm not sure about the GPU itself. But seeing as its a *50 it is low range for gaming, but the 7** series are very up to date. I would not expect it to run Skyrim high, but you could probably upgrade it. But looking at the price and specs i'd say go for it.

It's a good laptop as far as laptops go.
