Lenovo ideapad 330 laptop

I got this laptop as a Christmas gift last year, and it DELETES EVERYTHING REPEATEDLY. Every single time it updates, all my files, photos, saved passwords, and music is just GONE. I wrote an essay for school and it updated on its own last night, and now I have to start ALL OVER. It's really starting to aggravate the sh**t out of me. The more annoying part is automatic updates are off. I've googled it, and none of the instructions have worked.

Contact lenovo or the seller for the support that you paid for

It keeps doing this and you still don't have a backup system set up? Even just syncing with a free dropbox folder online or something will keep you from loosing all your files.

You're going to have to give us more information on what it's actually doing. Which is why it might be better for you to just contact the tech support that should still be working.

It shouldn't actually delete your files when it updates, and turning off updates is a good way to leave your computer at risk for viruses and such.

Is it corrupting or something when it updates and then factory resetting? Are you doing something with it to tell it to delete the files?
