I have my Lenovo for a couple of months now, but there's a huge problem with it. When I start a game, the screen starts to kinda flicker and stutter in a way. I have tried almost everything. Should i return it and get a new one, or is there a solution? It's making me very angry now and I just can't enjoy any game no longer. I tried it on Windows 7 and 8 but I think the problem is in my Nvidia Video Card.
Lenovo ideapad y510p screen is flickering. Why?
As was posted, new one; don, t hassle yourself over L, s likely mistakes.
when a warrantied item doesn, t function, don, t mess w/ it,
they could use that as an excuse to deny you.
or call Warranty/tech support for poss quick fix.
I buy the extended warranty and make sure typically excluded items like hinges are covered, and "cosmetic" items like letters on the keytops.
Return it, get a new one
If it's only in games, the settings might be too high for your video card. Turn some of the settings down and see if you get any improvement. Having nVidia graphics does not mean you have a good card. They make lots of low end cards as well and most vendors do not put the high end cards in their machines.
While yours does have the top i7 CPU and a fair GPU, it might have a problem on games when on battery power. Try on house power and see if games settings let you specify the Nvidia GPU.
