Here is some backstory.
So I have this old lenovo n500 (8 years old) which I'm planning to revive/restore for tech projects. It has no battery, and hasn't been used for 2 or 3 years. I have the charger for it, which works fine with other electronics, but when I plug it to lenovo It won't react, and play dead. And I mean no lights at all. No life. Is there a way to revive it? (Don't say "It's too old" because it was possible with older laptops so.)
Lenovo Won't react to charger?

Ir may sound weird but did the eletronics in that computer decay? Their maybe a short caused by dust. Have you tried cleaning the conputer charging socket? May have disconnected the wires caused by the plastic decaying of the board clips.

It has to have a battery in it. Just plugging it in with the charger won't work as there's nothing to charge.

Maybe that's why somebody stopped using it 2 or 3 years ago? Maybe the CMOS battery needs to be replaced?
