I have Lenovo y510p.It got 1tb hardisk(8gb sshd). I want to partition my harddisk, but i heard that lenovo one key recovery will no more work if i do that.Is it true? I'm provided with only two partitions one is "Windows8os(891gb)" and "Lenovo Recovery(25gb)". If i don't partition my harddisk, incase of system failure, onekey recovery will erase all my data on c drive(891gb). But if i partition it, they say one key recovery won't work.I'm thinking to partition it as c(100gb), d(400gb), e(390gb). Please tell me what to do…

Buy one or two 2tb external hard drives, preferably USB 3.0. Use the external hard drive(s) only for backing up stuff from your computer.
The recovery partition will not help you if you drop your computer and damage your internal hard drive. An external backup is important!
