I've had a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro for almost a year now (it'll be a year towards the end of August), and it has given me so many issues since.
The latest issue now revolves around the battery. Last week, my laptop just completely stopped charging, even if it was plugged in. So I went out and bought another AC adapter, and then the laptop started to work perfectly fine. I even did a BIOS update like what they recommended on their website.
But now all of the sudden, the battery isn't charging again. I even left my laptop to charge over night, and when I just opened it up it went from 7% to 4%, then shut off on me.
I do not keep my charger in my laptop for long periods of time. But I don't know why it's acting up like this. AC adapters are EXPENSIVE too - $70! I don't have that, I'm a college student… Any tips?
Lenovo Yoga 2 battery issues?
I read all the time that people say not to have the power on their laptops and the battery in but I run seven Toshiba laptops all have the power cord in and on and the batteries are never taken out, the oldest laptops I have are 9 and eight years old and their batteries are OK for around 2 to 6 hours depending on what is running, this sounds like your battery is just dead, I do know that some laptop makers will fit batteries with short life spans (long enough to last the warranted period) to keep the manufacturing costs down, when I purchase a new laptop I always require to have a battery that is of a high spec (but then I do not purchase off the shelf laptops) you could see if any of your friends have the same laptop and borrow their battery to check your internal charger system (your battery into their laptop their battery into your laptop that will give you an idea if your charger works as their battery will charge up and if your battery in their machine fails then it is defo that your battery is dead.
Without having your laptop on my work desk this is the only help I can give
