Play Multiplayer Game Via Wi-Fi?

I have a lenovo and a acer laptop i don't have internet connection or crossover cable but both my machines have wi-fi and homegroup i'm only able to copy file via homegroup and only one of my laptop shows the other one in homegroup. I want To play multiplayer games with only wi-fi is it possible?
