Should I sell current laptop for a new one?

I recently bought a new laptop( April 2015). I intend to use it for college. But my problem is that I need a touchscreen laptop for school. So here s my issue…

I got it for 1250$ with a 3 year warrenty
It is a lenovo y50 2015 edition 15.6 inch screen
Specs are
1080p ips display
512GB ssd
16GB RAM
Intel i7 4720HQ processor
Nvidia geforce gtx 860m graphics processor
3 years warrenty covering drops spills and a 24hr come-to-you assistance

I love it it's great. But i have 2 problems with it
The Wi-Fi isn't that great with it
I need a touchscreen laptop for engineering

I purchased the laptop when it was 700$ off. It's original price is $1899.
It's only been 3 months so its very new still. No damages what so ever ever.

So my question is…
Should I sell it on eBay or where ever? Do you think I can get my money back and maybe more?

You probably won't get as much as you paid for. If someone's coughing up $1000+, he'll probably be looking for a brand new factory sealed laptop.

That aside, you really shouldn't sell it, the configuration looks super freakin fantastic!

Most people in the past did just fine without touch screens, if I were you, I'd try to get used to the mouse and keyboard interface for whatever software you're using- every computer software i know can be operated just fine without a touch interface.

If a touch screen is absolutely necessary, you can ask Lenovo if they can upgrade the screen of this laptop with a touch screen (you'll have to pay for this upgrade).

You can also find a cheap android tablet (if all you need is a note-taking device) and continue to use this beast of a laptop for high load engineering tasks (AutoCAD, simulations, circuit designing, etc).

I agree with jheel. And why do you need touch screen?

Yes, because you want one with touchscreen instead. Its fairly new and still has extra warranty, put that online for $900, if it doesn't sell within a week, put it online again for $800, if it then still doesn't sell, keep it as a backup to your new computer, its better to have two computers, because when one has a problem, then you have one in reserve to do your schoolwork.

don't wait months to sell, computers use their value very quickly as the computer development makes huge steps about every half a year and then what was superfast before becomes old.

that idea with screen replacement is not a good idea, because laptops are best as they come out of the factory and changing all those tiny parts in that little room is always critical for damage.
