Sony Vaio Pro 13 vs Lenovo x240?

I'm looking for a new laptop for uni and I need your help.

After an ultrabook with long battery life and narrow down to Sony Vaio Pro 13 and Lenovo x240.

I can get them both at the same price but which one should I choose?!

What I'm looking for:
- Long battery life
- Great portability (light, compact)
- Durable (Want to keep it as long as it last)

I'm no computer geek nor do I play any computer games… I just want a computer that is easy to live with and will last. I'm mainly browsing the web, doing assignments, watching videos and occasionally editing videos.

Here is a quick comparison between the models:

Similarities:
- i5 Haswell 4200
- Intel HD Graphics 4400
- 4GB ram
- Claimed 8.5hrs of battery life
- 1 year warranty

Main Differences:

Sony Vaio Pro 13:
- 13inch screen Full HD 1920x1080 with touch
- 128GB SSD
- 1.06kg
- Flexy keyboard and body (but made out of carbon fibre)

Lenovo x240
- 12.5inch screen IPS 1366x738 with touch
- 500GB HDD + 16GB SSD
- 1.42kg
- Sturdy body but slightly thicker.

Which one would you choose if they are the SAME price?

Added (1). I like the sony's full HD screen, SSD and its light weight but worry about keyboard/body flex in terms of durability.

I also like the lenovo's keyboard and its awesome durability but worry about the weight and the performance of the HDD vs SSD.

Screen size and resolution doesn't bother me much to be honest unless they are a massive difference.

Sony VAIO Pro SVP
Pros:

- The screen is amazing, great colors without saturation (take that Samsung!) Full HD Display/IPS and touchscreen
- Keyboard is very nice, good typing experience
- Build quality is great. Carbon fiber body is extremely light. It flexes a bit but that's expected
- Battery life is amazing… 7 hours on a charge with a small battery (37 Wh)
- Fast, really fast thanks to the SSD and Haswell

From your description, i'd recommend you the microsoft surface (starting at $300) because all you do is simple stuff, good luck anyway.
