Just curious as I'd like a Thinkpad with the IBM logo for the retro appeal!
What was the best IBM Thinkpad model before it changed to Lenovo?
Hmm, I would have to say the T20 line, those things where built to last! A buddy of mines still have one that he uses as a linux box to this day, thats 15 some odd years old and still going!
Also, it didn't Change to Lenovo.
Lenovo was a laptop released named Lenovo, it became so popular that Lenovo became a whole line of laptops for IBM.
IBM went off to eventually sell Lenovo to the Chinese government (51%) owned about 5 years ago.
I clearly remember this as I scurried as fast as I could to get one of the last laptops made under IBM quality assurance.
http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptop/lenovo-ideapad-u350.aspx it was this one.
I'm still beating myself for selling it.
Write to ibm and ask for a sticker. Lenovo has been making thinkpads for over 10 years.
