Which gaming notebook should i buy?

ASUS K501LX-EB71 or Aspire VN7-591G-70RT

ASUS Specs: 5th gen core i7, Full HD TN display, GTX 950m graphics, 256gb SSD, 8gb of RAM, costs $799

Aspire Specs: 4th gen core i7, Full HD IPS display, GTX 960m graphics, 1TB HD, 8gb of RAM, cost $949

I plan to use the laptop for college and gaming, gaming as in the witcher 3 and fallout 4 alongside league of legends. And i'm on the internet alot. I'm worried if i get the asus with the weaker gpu i'm in danger of being unable to play fallout 4. Specualtion is that the game won't have huge requirements but i don't know. Can a gtx 950m handel the witcher 3 and fallout 4? It's the one with ddr3 memory, not the gddr5. I have to buy a laptop pretty much tonight bc college starts next thursday and i want to have the laptop by then. Any input would be greatly appreciated. My budget isn't fixed but i wanna keep it under a grand. Thanks.

asus - http://store.asus.com/us/item/201506AM160000048/A17602 The Asus is not good. The i7 is a low voltage dual core.
i7-5500U scores only 3922, and some of that is hyperthread as inefficient in gaming.

The graphics GTX 950M is notably lower than the 960M
1358 vs 1588. You already sacrifice heavily as a laptop as a GTX 960M approximates GT 740 of desktop/tower.

Your problem is also spotty reputation and quality at Acer. They do almost no design, no production at all, and minimal if any testing. As a 100% subcontracting company, their products vary a lot.
This one reports spotty Wi-Fi and a slow HDD, Processor throttles at high temperatures

There may be an email signup discount at Lenovo.com, or rebates possible for students or through credit cards to get the price down a bit, but possibly a Y50 with close specs to the Acer, but has an SSD accelerated HDD to fix that issue.

17.3" MSI Apache is also close in specs and they sell good systems
http://www.newegg.com/...6834152925 Get that Acer aspire. More storage for games, much better CPU, and a bit of a better GPU. I would say that the $150 increase is worth it.

It should be able to play the Witcher 3 in a lower resolution like 1366x768 decently. Gaming Laptops aren't worth it, but the specs of the acer one is decent. It probably will slow in a year, though. To be completely honest gaming laptops have never really worked out for me. If I were you, I would build a desktop for half the price with the same specs (if not better with the leftover money) and just buy a basic everyday use laptop with the leftover 250 or so
