Would I be able to moderately game with an Intel HD 5500?

So I'm gonna buy a laptop, and it comes with i7 and 1tb and the hd 5500. I was wondering if use be able to play at least sims 3 and the secret world on high or medium at least

Added (1). Oh and would I be able to upgrade to an SSD. http://www.bestbuy.com/...&sr=01#one

Summary: YES on sims like any other integrated graphics core i and dual core i laptop which have small variations in the abilities among them, and no about medium play on Secret World where lucky to play low settings on smooth play. Secret World is not "moderate gaming" in laptops.
*** Details:
Expensive toy with the touch and flip features. HD 5500 is between HD 4400 and 4600. The i7 is a dual core between i5 U suffix and i5 M suffix. I7-5500U benchmark 3940, i5-5200U 3526, i5-4210U 3388, i3-4110M 3966. Real i7-4720HQ gaming CPU is 8163. What you really mean to ask is can any mid-grade new laptop play Sims 3 and 4, and the answer is YES. The 1080p of the HP works with Sims 3 but cuts frame rate on lower settings of Sims 4. Any of the core i 4th or fifth gen do OK on Sims. The Secret World is more serious, and is below manufacturer's recommendation for minimum graphics. It should barely play low settings.

15.6" laptops are too heavy as a tablet and touchscreen in a clamshell laptop is more of a gimmick.
Many people are buying the toys with the pull around the screen imaging, but I think of it as a child's plaything.
Lenovo Y50 is a gaming laptop with quad core i7 and GTX 860M or 960M when plugged in AC, and even on battery is better than the HP you show in performance.

There are many laptops around. Subtract the toy features

Little lower on the CPU, adds a 128GB M.2 type SSD, still 1920x1080, GTX950M card.
This one on AC power is medium-high settings on Secret World, and there are other laptops that do better.
Suggest you look harder at newegg, amazon, bestbuy, adorama and choose between a laptop that does handstands versus one for gaming. You get what you want, but don't expect everything in a laptop at low pricing. Gaming is intended for tower PCs with quad core Intel core i CPUs and real graphics cards rather than integrated or the low mobility type in laptops.

Even a GTX 960M is below a GTX 750 TI graphics card of a desktop PC that can be bought for $72 after rebate.

So, YES on sims like any other integrated graphics core i and dual core i laptop which have small variations in the abilities among them, and no about medium play on Secret World where lucky to play low settings on smooth play. Secret World is not "moderate gaming" in laptops.
