Should I upgrade my Processor or SSD?

Lenovo G505S
AMD A10-5750M 2.5 GHz (4 MB Cache)
6 GB DDR3 RAM
1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
15.6-Inch Screen, ATI Radeon HD 8650G

I'm a college student who expects to surf the web and use Microsoft Office often. I'm wondering if I should upgrade the processor or the HD to an SSD. Which do you suggest for my needs?

I would upgrade the CPU, that would make a more significant difference than changing your SSD.

For the stuff you do, the power of the CPU doesn't make that much difference. I'm pretty sure that if you open your task manager, you barely ever see your CPU running at 100% for more than a split second. This means that you have plenty head room.
An SSD however will make a HUGE impact on overall performance. All your software will load up almost instantly, same goes for your documents that you load. The slowest part of your computer will probably be the networking, and that is not something you can do much about (besides getting a better package from your uni or ISP).
