Which is better Lenovo or Dell?

In laptops, my Dell from 1999 still works. My Dell from 2012 that I have had almost 18 months is very nice, works well.
I got a Lenovo G555 in 2011, and after 3 years, the video chip detached from the motherboard, a common problem. Even ads on Ebay for repairing that. Mine was repaired twice, still failed. Now trying a new motherboard.

Most people would say Lenovo, though. And what do you mean by "which is better"?

I would go dell or otherwise your local computer shop, but I never heard about Lenovo.
