Why does my monitor keep clicking off?

have you got the monitor on an, extion power cable
if so remove it from the extion power cable and just use 1 power cable from the monitor to the power outlet, if you still here a cliking sound & the screen jumps power off the pc remove the power cables then remove the monitor cable from the monitor portat the back of the pc then put it back on and make sure its on right, the the same at the back of the monitor then put the power back on the pc and restart up the pc, if it is doing to same clking sound & jumping screen. You will need to start looking at buying a new monitor

there you go take care it is haunted probally video card are the wrong driver installed for the video card. You monitor must be as stupid as you. Sounds like a faulty monitor or Video Card to me, if it was the drivers then it would reflect on the screen not the hardware. I would first check the cords.
If that doesn't work:
If at all possible, borrow another monitor and connect it in the same pc. If it does the same (shuts down), then it may be your video card.

If the borrowed one stays on fine, then your old monitor may be going bad.
I'm curious if it goes at within a couple of minutes or does it get hot (around 10 -20 minutes) and then turn off.

If it is a heat issue, it may be time to replace the monitor. It could be a power saving function, new monitors have their own power saving features independent of the computer. Three possibilities:

1. It has a powersaving utility that forces it to turn off after inactivity
2. Its old and going bad and the tube is dying - most likely if its a tube monitor
3. The Operating system is using the incorrect driver - has the wrong driver installed - previous answer
