Audio Problems with Windows 7 (64-bit)?

My audio is not working on my lenovo G560. When initially starting sound it plays normally for appx. 17-25 seconds then starts skipping for 1 sec or so every ~6 sec. I have checked all updates, re installed all audio drivers and codecs. Ran diagnostics which come up clean and re installed all flash and shock wave players just in case. This happens with all audio (web and system). No problems with video players or anything. Just the audio of all programs ( i.e. Browsers, websites, windows media player, itunes, spotify and system sounds.) What else am i missing that could be the problem?

It is probably a CPU latency issue. Install latency monitor software from here
