I have a Lenovo desktop with Windows 7 and a Pentium processor. Recently I have had trouble sending and receiving large files. Checking the file shows I have 5.76 MB Free of 287 GB on the hard disc drive. It has a Pentium R dual core CPU. What can I do so files can be sent and received more easily?

You need to clean up your hard drive, nothing you can do until you free up a bunch of space. Buy a USB hard drive and offload stuff you don't need on it.

You're storing too much on your hard drive. I'd consider getting a cheap external hard drive and transferring all of your large files to it for storage.

With less than 6 mb or free space I'm surprised it runs at all. Clean out your personal stuff onto external HD or USB sticks. Then run CCleaner to get rid of the stuff in Cache that you don't need. Buy a bigger HD and clone your old one and replace with the new.
