My laptop has been acting up recently and I've been thinking of scrapping it, but first I want to be able to use it on another computer. Problem is, I can't seem to find valuable info on how to remove the data on the SSD the entire OS is on. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad 5 and the drive is a Crucial m500. I just want to use it on my desktop.
How do I erase the data on my SSD?
Michael
Sorry, I don't know

Put it in the desktop. Right click my_computer and choose MANAGE. Then use Disk Management to DELETE any partitions on the SSD.

You can't move the OS to another computer, you'd have to re-install it on the new computer.
But to format the SSD you'd just connect it to your other computer, right click the drive then format it, or use Windows Disk Management to delete the partitions on it and create new ones.

Boot up a live linux and go into disk management and format it there
