I'm saving up my money to buy a computer, but I'm looking for one with an "All-in-one" desktop, core i7, and a solid state drive. But the only place I've searched is BestBuy because they're the only place I know besides Amazon, which wasn't helpful.
Do you guys know of any other computer shops? Or any other shops that sell majority computers?
All help appreciated! Thanks a lot. All depends on where you are - I'm assuming you are in the US since you mention BestBuy. You need to focus on manufacturer not where to get it. If you feel you need to focus on where to get it - Costco has the best warranty…
If you want to focus on manufacturer - Lenovo, ASUS, are the more reliable.
In the PC World - you get what you pay for - remember that - if something has the same specs - and is 200 bucks cheaper -- there's a reason for that -
Why do you think Acer, HP, and Toshiba are always cheaper? Because they suck.
Why are Lenovo ThinkPad T-series laptops, and macbook pros twice as much as all other laptops? Because they are worth every penny - better engineering, better material = better reliability
Just food for thought. I can't help you on a good shop because - thats not what you think about when looking for a computer. When you are buying a car - you don't think - what's the best car "dealership" you think - "what kind of car do I want?" or "who makes the best car for my budget?" It all depends on where you live, doesn't it? Fry's or Micro Center are good if you live near one. They're big warehouse-like stores so typically you'll have to be able to drive. They have prebuilts but they're more about selling individual components.
I'd also check out Costco as they have decent deals on computers and other stuff a lot of the time. The only thing is that they usually don't have a wide selection.
