Does Lenovo usually have sales on their site?

Right now the Y50 is $1,099 with their weekly deal (cheapest model). Should I wait until it ends and see if they have it for even cheaper next week or on Black Friday? I'm scared it'll just go back up in price.
(This is Lenovo CANADA not America! I think sales are the same but prices are different.)

Amazon generally has cheaper prices than the manufacturer/big box retailers, so I'd check for the specific model of the Y50 on there first. If the price on Lenovo's website is the cheapest you can find go ahead with that, but I'd shop around to make sure you're getting a good deal.

Occasionally. Their best deals are usually when they are doing model changes… I would expect some Black Friday sales this coming week through next Tues or Weds (covering for cyperMonday).

From Canada, definitely harder to shop than the US. Taxes are higher, selection is lower. There are a lot of sellers each picking a different system to price down a bit.
Memory Express, Future/BestBuy, Amazon, Tigerdirect, Newegg.

I worked for IBm and then Lenovo for 31 years. I can tell you that the standard marketing policy is a different set of sale prices and varying the system itself according to inventory.
Lowest prices are from Black Friday to mid-December, and then towards end of March, but lowest may not save a lot of money.
You really do have to shop around.

The price at Lenovo.com does go up and down. It gets changed once a week. The general direction is down. Newegg also sells y50 at a good price.

Among GTX 860M laptops, Lenovo is a bargain in general, but the 1080p screen is of 2 sources. One is just below average and the other is well below average for a 1080p screen. The Y50 shines out for those that search the blogs and Youtube via google and buy a COMPATIBLE! IPS 1080p panel for under $100 and under 6 minutes to replace it. That can be done at any time after purchase.
Gigabyte and Asus have competing models, and I do not trust the Acer products.
There's a Lenovo student portal if you google for it and are listed, and that cuts the price a little.
There's a popup usually for email signup that gets you a 1 time use discount.
There are credit card shopping links for rebates and discounts. The discounts are not big, but on $1100, a $100 discount is OK. It will pay for the replacement IPS panel you may do one day.

I see no other easily in canada with gtx 860m and quad core i7 for under $1100.

Like buying anything, the price could be higher or lower next week, or hit a supply shortage for a delay.
That is the risk of waiting.
