I'm currently using my one HDMI out port for a second monitor, and this third monitor is just sitting on my desk gathering dust because I'm finding out that HDMI splitters can only service one device at once. Is there any technology that exists that will extend my HDMI outward capabilities to this third monitor without just duplicating the image of another one? Seems like I've tried, read, and watched everything. Any input is appreciated.
How to run 2 independent monitors from one HDMI out port on my Lenovo C540?
It's not possible. Your only option would be to use a USB video adapter in order to add support for more monitors. You can buy one at startech.com
Matrox Dual (or Triple) Head2Go box is designed for laptops, but can from port on a desktop. More than one external monitor can be run from one video port. Best effect if monitors are identical size, resolution, orientation. Comes in various flavors. IT IS NOT A SPLITTER! $160 to $260 USD.
A USB external video adapter would be cheaper, perhaps not as fast. You could run 4 to 6 on a system, depending upon CPU.
I'm using two monitors with my lenovo think centre. My montir cables will not stay plugged in. Right now each one is plugged into a a female adapter but the don't screw in so they are always falling out. What can I use to keep my monitors working
