I have a new lenovo machine that has a bios that will not allow me to install linux using a usb or dvd drive.i was?

Wondering if there was a way to install linux through windows and erase windows. Nothing like wubi, which runs on top of windows.

Okay let me explain to you how to fix your dilemma with the Lenovo get into your bios find where it says secure boot first disable secure Boot and click apply then go to restart it's going to ask you to enter a number go ahead and enter that number and your computer will start to restart get back into BIOS now that you're back in BIOS enable Legacy support click apply now enable F12 boot menu click apply.

Now before you do this realize that your copy of Windows is not going to start after you do this you can now install Linux Mint or Ubuntu using the F12 menu like you always have been able to do on other systems and if you ever decide to reinstall Windows 10 you can install Windows 10 in the non secure boot environment that I showed you how to activate and it will run side-by-side with Linux but you have to install Windows 10 first and then Linux if you're going to totally erase Windows when you load up Linux make sure you check where it says use up the entire disk!
