Is there a Windows 8.1 Touch Operating System Version?

I bought my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. I want to get rid of the junk and format it and install Windows 8.1 As Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro has a touch screen, will I still be able to use the touch screen if I format and install a Windows 8.1 OS? Or does it require a special Windows 8.1 OS for the touch screen?

You Yoga 2 Pro should already have Windows 8.1 installed.

All versions of windows 8/8.1 have touch screen

Windows 8.1 allows touch, as long as the Lenovo screen drivers are present to allow the hardware to work.

All versions of Windows 8.1 support touch screen panels. You just need to ensure that when you re-install the operating system you install the correct touch screen driver into the OS to enable the touch screen support. Note, you may not be required to do this as Windows 8.1 has great driver support for all types of hardware. However if you re-install and find that the touch screen is not working, you'll need to go to the support page on Lenovo's site for the Yoga 2 Pro and download the appropriate touch screen driver.

Yes. But make sure you've got all the right apparatuses and the system OS will work with that hardware.

conflicts are a plenty. It's going to a tough ride but a great learning experience. Also… BACKUP your old system!

that's always a good idea. Back up. Back up and copies of the back up and copies of programs that may go 'corrupt' with re-installation.

You probably could install Windows 8.1 and it should work. Not sure.
