$1000 laptop that is mobile, looks good, and can play games?

Some games I'm interested in are World of Warcraft, Skyrim, and games on STEAM in general. I have a budget around $1000. I can't get a desktop because I can't afford to get a desktop and a laptop because I need at least a laptop for college next year. I was looking at Alienware 13 but apparently it isn't that good because it is dual core? I looked at Lenovo Y50 and apparently the company is really bad and was apart of the superfish scandal? Any advice on what laptops I should consider and if I'm falsely judging the above mentioned laptops? Thanks!

Added (1). Sorry for not being really specific on games. I don't need tom play really beefy games, but games around Skyrim and World of Warcraft level. Maybe some shooter games like call of duty or kerbel space program. I want at least WoW and Skyrim, and anything better is an improvement welcomed.

Dual core is good. Quad core is better.

"and games on Steam in general" - That's not helpful information… There are games like Counter-Strike 1.6 on Steam, and there are games like The Witcher 3 on Steam which have a GIGANTIC gap of hardware requirements.

If you want a gaming Laptop that can play games like WoW or Skyrim then look the one that has AT LEAST:

Processor: At least Intel i5 or AMD A8.
RAM: At least 8 GB.
Graphics Card: At least decent Nvidia GTX or Radeon R7 (preferably R9).

Well I suggest getting a few hundred dollars more and get the Asus Rog that is sold at Best Buy. Has a gtx 965, 8 gig ram (heard they added 8 more gigs now so 16, but not sure) and a i7. A 17". Bulky but that just means a few things. Sure a tad heavy but a bag helps. Not like you will travel miles at a time. But bulky also means you get better cooling. And more room for more stuff. A lot of times Best Buy does sales as well. Can get it normally around 1250. Then later on, add a ssd hard drive more ram if want, etc.

Get the specs (Recommended) for the games you want to play and then find a machine that meets or preferably beats them:
(WOW) WORLD OF WARCRAFT System
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8 (64 bit)
Processsor; Intel Core i5 2400, Or AMD FX 4100 or better
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470, Or ATI Radeon HD5870 or better.
Memory: 4 GB
HD Space: 35 GB.
Internet Broadband connection
Input: Keyboard and Mouse (Multi-button mouse with scroll wheel) Other input not supported.
Resolution: 1024 x768 minimum display.

SKYRIM wants:
Recommended Requirements
-Wndows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
-Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU processor
-4GB System RAM
-6GB free HDD (Hard disk drive) space
-DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon HD 4890 or higher
-DirectX compatible sound card

There are minimum specs but you will not like the game play.
