Buying new gaming laptop and stuck between specs ideapad y510p

The overall specs are pretty similar but there's just some minor details that id like to know before I commit to this. I did some research on the specs but i'm no expert so I can't tell what would be more worth it. I will be using this for schoolwork/gaming.

It is the same laptop: Lenovo IdeaPad y510p
Here are the spec differences for the 2 models and how much they cost:

1.) 1TB HDD + 8GB SSHD, 2x Nvidia GeForce GT 755M(Sli) ----> ~$1, 100
2.) 1TB HDD + 24GB SSD, 2x Nvidia GeForce GT 750M(Sli) -----> ~$1, 050

The differences seem minimal, at least to me. What would be the better option for what ill be using the laptop for? I'm somewhat a gamer and like to play on high/ultra settings so i'm leaning more towards the better gpu option. But would a 24GB SSD (vs 8GB SSHD) be more bang for my buck?

Thanks!

Added (1). EDIT: The first one lists a 2GB GDDR5 VRAM while the second just says 2GB. Assuming the 2nd is DDR3 or something, would the 24GB SSD option still be more worth it?

There are 5 models at Newegg and they don't provide all of the details in the specifications.
The GT 755M SLI is a newer model than the GT 750M SLI and its performance is higher.

Rank 38 vs 45 and lower is better.

The solid state portion of the storage is not user accessible. It is a cache for the spinning drive and the system automatically puts more frequently accessed programs and data on it. A larger cache means a faster load time on the second access of a program if it is stored on the SSD portion, so more SSD cache means more programs and software will load faster. Most games are not interactive with the HDD except in settings changes, so in gaming, the 24GB might sometimes have some games loading faster and settings changes faster, but the GT 755M SLI has faster frame rates at a game setting.

Lenovo made other improvements phased into new models and you can't tell which improvements are also in the newer one. They improved the battery from 68 watt hours to 72 watt hours. They added an anti-reflective coating to the gloss screen to reduce the overhead and behind you light reflections.

Every Lenovo Y510p with either GT 750M or GT 755M has 2GB of GDDR5 video RAM in addition to system ram. Some system ram is also allocated to graphics.
In SLI, although each graphics module has 2 GB of video ram, system interface is only to one card. These models have 4GB GDDR5 ram, but 2GB is used internal to the interface and 2GB to the system interface.
It gets at least 2 more gb from the ddr3 system ram for plenty of bandwidth. That is not a difference in the models.

The specs do not show all the differences, but go with the gt 755m sli model and hopefully pick up other improvements as included. You may also want to buy a usb dvdrw or a swappable 0A65626 ultrabay slim dvdrw on ebay or other sources that you can remove a GT 755M module to have DVDRW as needed.
You should not keep swapping modules, but occasionally, a DVDRW comes in handy. It can be bought for about $50. Usb is ok also.

The second one is better. You get a larger SSD and the difference between the graphics card performances is negligible
