I just bought a computer from best buy, http://www.bestbuy.com/...Id=4928800
I need to know if it can play a game with these recommended specs:
Supported OS: Windows Vista SP2/Windows 7
Processor: 1.8 GHz Quad Core CPU RAM: 4 GB
Hard Disk: 9.6 GB free
Video Memory: 512+ MB
Video Card: NVIDIA 9800 series or better / ATI 4800 series or better
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c-compatible
DirectX: DirectX version 11
Can my new computer play Civilization?
Graphics are usually the biggest determining factor when playing games.
This is what your laptop has:

its not made for gaming at all. But it does show civilization beyond earth getting 30+ fps on the absolute lowest settings. So i'm guessing you can play any civilization game that is available today. Just not going to be a great experience at lower settings/resolutions.
why would you not look up this kind of thing before even purchasing the laptop?
if you are able to return the laptop, id suggest this for gaming http://www.newegg.com/...6834315302 its only $40 more, but the difference in performance is huge. Also has a 1920x1080 screen vs a 1366x768 screen. I mean 720P screens are terrible now days, not enough screen real estate.
