Can't install Gothic player-kit/system pack?

I'm trying to play Gothic on my Lenovo laptop (with window's 8 installed). I bought Gothic 1,2, and 3 on steam and downloaded/installed the patch for Gothic 1. I'm not trying to install the player-kit and system pack to make it more compatible with my modern machine, but the install button is greyed out with no explanation, what the hell?!
