How to activate my laptops wi-fi?

Recently i updated from windows 7 32 bit to windows 8.1 64 bit and my wi-fi won't work.
I downloaded and installed the recommended driver but it doesn't help.
Mabey it is something about the drivers (Lenovo Drivers) i got when i bought the laptop, it didn't install them when i updated to windows 8.1.
My laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad edge e320.
Thank you!
Best Regards

Added (1). Edit: I don't have a Wi-Fi on/off button and when i auto-detected the driver in intels website it just opened a weird window and didn't install.
Here is a screenshot: How to activate my laptops wi-fi
The wi-fi switch is dark and i can't enable it.

You should install the Wi-Fi drivers and switch on your Wi-Fi button, which exists outside in your system…

If you are unable to start your laptop's Wi-Fi by pressing the available button on laptop, you should install its drivers which are compatible with windows.

First i would try swiping the to the right to open up the control tab, then click settings, then click airplane mode, then click the Wi-Fi switch to on. If it sees that your network is available then click on it and connect to it. If it still is not connecting i would recommend trying to reinstall windows 8.1 or try reinstalling the drivers for your lenova.
