How to activate my second graphics card?

I bought, about a two months ago, a Lenovo Ideapad y510p. I bought the model that included dual NVIDIA 755M 2gb graphics cards, but I have a feeling that my second card is not active.

Does it come factory enabled? Or do I have to manually activate it?

The reason I'm asking this question is because I'm playing Skyrim with more than a hundred mixed mods. I have no performance issues, but my FPS takes a hit in certain areas. With the graphics power of one of the 755M cards, I would understand this… But with two, I shouldn't have a problem right?

Basically, if anyone can tell me how to activate the second card, or if it is factory activated, that would be great. Thank you.

Added (1). I figured out how to fix my problem.

I simply entered the nvidia configuration menu and enabled SLI. My games have been running much smoother now. Thank you for all the responses.

Added (2). Oh and also. The laptop does contain two physical cards (for all those who claimed it did not). Just so you know.

You must remember that when playing a game your graphic cards aren't the only factor in its performance. GPU, RAM, and CPU all factor into game performance. By default your computer should have both cards enabled, meaning the problem lies in not enough RAM or too weak of a CPU. You can check to make sure both cards are running by going to Start>My Computer>System Properties>Device Manager. I believe it should be under display adapters.
Yasser could also be right, assuming you were saying dual as I the name and not simply saying there were two…

Actually, it actually does have 2 physical GT 755M cards with 2gig dedicated DDR5 RAM.
- that is, in those models that say they have dual cards:
"Dual (2x) NVIDIA® GeForce® GT755M 2GB (on select models) via Ultrabay"
http://shop.lenovo.com/...#techspecs

Are you sure that your machine has the specs for the game?
-Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
-Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU processor
-4GB System RAM
-6GB free HDD (Hard disk drive) space
-DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon HD 4890 or higher
-DirectX compatible sound card
-Internet access for Steam activation

Open the Device Manager and expand Display If two NVidia graphics systems are present, both will be I agree with the earlier poster that you actually have one Intel and one NVidia present.

With the 2 cards you should have setup crossfire. I doubt that this would be enabled by default. I would check into the card documentation to see how to set it up or how to verify that it is.

The Lenovo y510p $1600 priced 5940667 model with 16GB RAM and the Intel i7-4700MQ CPU says the Nvidia GT 755m (SLI) is the graphics chip. Yes, you do have two graphics systems on all y510p models since the on-chip Intel 4000 HD graphics is present along with the Nvidia chip. What the (SLI) notation means on that one model, not sure. If you bought the most expensive *667 model, contact Lenovo about what you are to expect.
At no model level is there any mention of two Nvidia graphics chips.

As far as I know, dual means it has a VGA, HDMI or Display port output to connect to a second monitor or a TV, but it doesn't mean that there are two video cards running at the same time.
