How to connect my lenovo laptop to my tv?

My lenovo laptop has 3 usb ports, 2 headphone/speaker ports and 1 VGA port but with no screw point to lock in the VGA cable. My TV has a HDMI port so what cable do i need to use my laptop on my TV for movies etc?

Use the vga port. It doesn't need to lock, it just needs to plug in snug. Connect a double male headphone jack 3.5mm? Into you laptops headphone jack and the other end into the Tv's audio in jack. Switch the TV to the VGA setting which should be grouped in with HDMI1, HDMI2…

You need a VGA-HDMI converter such as this

This also has audio support so you plug in the headphone lead as well. Don't get a plain VGA-HDMI cable, it won't work
My laptop also has the same there are no VGA thumbscrews- it just pushes in

Get a Chromecast. They are awesome, and then you don't have to connect a wire to your TV.

I had one for 5 months before I used it, after reading this artice I use it almost every day.

Robotninja is correct as is david
chromecast is rubbish as you can't play movies from your hdd (chrome has a size of file to be played issue)
i personally use a qwaves quicklink wireless tv unit and dongle it can do everything wirelessly

There's HDMI cable available in the market you should just go for it, you can order online on amazon site…
