How to connect my lenovo 10 year old laptop to my samsung lcd tv?

Also please let me know how do i check whether my old lenovo laptop supports hdmi option because my new tv has hdmi option… Let me know what cable to buy to connect both

The D-sub mentioned is commonly called VGA or 15-pin RGB. My laptop from 2006 can do graphics up to something like 4096x4096, so it can to 1080p (1920x1080). But the best that a low end laptop from 2005 could do was 1360x768.

With VGA you might need to make some adjustments on the TV (menus) itself to get the picture perfectly sized and centered.

A 10 yrs old laptop properly has D-Sub, not HDMI. Many LCD TV still have D-Sub.
