Well you can remove the old HDD from your laptop and connect it using a SATA interface on a working pc… Not a laptop but a pc where you can't as secondar drive and pull the data from there to a external hdd and then back to new laptop HDD… This is d only way… U wud need a pc not a laptop… Its simple try it…

You can do it by the following steps…
1. Get a hard drive disk enclosure.
2. Borrow a working computer that is compatible with your old one.
3. Mac users can insert a Windows hard drive into their computer and be able to read (not write) the contents of their hard drive if they did not install a separate driver, for example NTFS-3G or Paragon NTFS.
4. Remove the hard drive from the dead laptop.
5. Remove the disk enclosure's connector plate and insert it into the hard drive interface.
6. Insert the hard drive into the enclosure.
7. Connect the external hard drive to the working computer with a USB cable.
8. Explore and salvage your old files.
9. When you're done, close the window to your hard drive.
10. Right-click the USB icon and select Eject. You can now detach the old hard drive.

You can also get an external 2.5" hard drive enclosure and install the hard drive from your old laptop into it and access it from your new system.

Rahul is correct. Remove the old hard drive from your laptop.

You can pick up a SATA interface for maybe $15 or $20. This will provide both the power and a data cable, and convert it to USB. And with USB, you can plug that directly into any computer, including a laptop.

Then you can copy everything over to the new drive. This interface will come in handy anytime you need to plug in an old hard drive.
